Summer Library Programs – 17 July to 15 August

Come and experience the Currency Museum’s hands-on money workshops at select Ottawa libraries.
Silver and Gold for Heroes
Embark on a voyage of discovery in the company of Greek and Roman gods! And like those heroes of long-ago myth and story, rise to all challenges until you fight all the way to the very top of Mount Olympus. Join the staff of the Currency Museum of the Bank of Canada as they reveal the stories behind how and why Athena, Heracles, and other Greek gods and heroes first found their places in ancient mythology, then found their faces on these ancient coins.
The workshops are geared to children ages 6 to 12. Please register at the Ottawa Public Library.
